Plain language summary: This website collects minimal personal information — only what you voluntarily provide (like your name and email when contacting me) and basic analytics. I do not sell your data. I do not use your data to train AI models. You have the right to access, correct, or delete your information at any time by contacting me directly.

1. Overview

  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Pages visited and time spent on each page

I do not collect sensitive personal information including racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, health or medical information, sexual orientation, immigration status, genetic data, biometric data, or financial account numbers. I do not collect information from children under the age of 13.

3. How We Use Your Information

Information collected is used solely for the following purposes:

  • Responding to your inquiries and communications
  • Providing consulting services you have requested or contracted for
  • Sending information about services, books, or content you have expressed interest in
  • Processing payments for services or products (handled by third-party processors)
  • Improving the Site's content and user experience
  • Complying with legal obligations

I do not use your personal information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you without human review.

4. Sharing of Information

I do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. Period.

I may share information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: Third-party tools used to operate this Site and deliver services (such as email platforms, scheduling tools, and payment processors). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and may not use it for their own purposes.
  • Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of myself or others.
  • Business transfers: In the unlikely event of a business sale or merger, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. You will be notified in advance.

Third-Party Service Providers in Use

  • Hostinger — website hosting (server logs, uptime monitoring)
  • Stripe — payment processing (I do not store your payment card information)
  • Google Calendar — scheduling (subject to Google's privacy policy)
  • Google Analytics — if active, anonymized site traffic analysis

Each third party has its own privacy policy. I encourage you to review them.

5. AI & Automated Tools Disclosure

This Site and my consulting practice use AI-assisted tools in the creation of content, business operations, and internal workflows. The following disclosures apply:

  • Your personal information is never submitted to AI tools or language models without your explicit knowledge and consent.
  • AI tools used in content creation and business operations are not given access to client data, communications, or personally identifiable information.
  • No AI system on this Site makes automated decisions that affect your rights or access to services.
  • Any AI-assisted content published on this Site is reviewed and edited by me personally before publication.

This disclosure is consistent with emerging US state requirements regarding automated decision-making tools (ADMT) under the 2026 California CCPA regulations and similar state frameworks.

6. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

This Site uses minimal cookies. Specifically:

  • Essential cookies: Required for basic site functionality. Cannot be disabled without breaking the Site.
  • Analytics cookies: Used to understand how visitors use the Site. These are anonymized and do not track you personally across other websites.
  • Third-party cookies: Embedded scheduling tools (Google Calendar) and payment processors (Stripe) may set their own cookies when you interact with those features.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use this Site. If you are a California resident, you may opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information (though I do not sell personal data) by contacting me directly.

7. Data Retention

I retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law:

  • Email communications: Retained for a minimum of 3 years for business record purposes.
  • Consulting engagement records: Retained for 7 years for contractual and tax compliance purposes.
  • Analytics data: Retained in anonymized form per the analytics provider's data retention settings.
  • Payment records: Retained by Stripe per their data retention policies and applicable tax law.

When your information is no longer needed, it is securely deleted or anonymized.

8. Security

I implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. This includes:

  • HTTPS encryption on all pages of this Site (enforced by Hostinger)
  • Secure, encrypted email communications where available
  • Use of only PCI-DSS-compliant payment processors (Stripe) — no credit card data is stored on this Site
  • Limiting access to personal information to only what is necessary for business operations

No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While I use commercially reasonable measures to protect your information, I cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information. I honor these rights for all US residents regardless of whether your state has enacted a specific privacy law.

Rights Available to All US Residents

  • Right to Know: You may request information about what personal data I hold about you and how it is used.
  • Right to Access: You may request a copy of the personal information I have collected about you.
  • Right to Correct: You may request that I correct inaccurate personal information about you.
  • Right to Delete: You may request that I delete your personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions.
  • Right to Opt Out of Data Sales: I do not sell personal data, so this right is inherently satisfied. If this changes, you will be notified and given a clear opt-out mechanism.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: You will not be penalized for exercising any of these privacy rights.

Additional Rights for California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

  • Right to opt out of sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising
  • Right to limit use of sensitive personal information
  • Right to opt out of automated decision-making tools (ADMT) that substantially replace human decision-making

How to Exercise Your Rights

To exercise any of these rights, contact me directly at jason@jasonkeanwagner.com with the subject line "Privacy Rights Request." I will respond within 45 days. If your request is complex, I may extend the response period by an additional 45 days and will notify you accordingly.

I will not require you to create an account or pay a fee to exercise your privacy rights. I may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

10. Children's Privacy

This Site is not directed at children under the age of 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If I become aware that I have collected personal information from a child under 13, I will delete it promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to this Site, please contact me at jason@jasonkeanwagner.com.

This Site is intended for use by business owners, operators, and professionals. It is not designed for or marketed to minors.

11. Third-Party Links

This Site contains links to third-party websites including Amazon (for book purchases), LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and any scheduling or payment tools in use. These websites have their own privacy policies, which I do not control. Visiting a third-party website from a link on this Site is subject to that website's privacy policy, not this one. I am not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites.

12. Changes to This Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in law, technology, or my business practices. When I make material changes, I will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of this Site after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

I encourage you to review this policy periodically. For significant changes, I will make reasonable efforts to notify regular visitors or email subscribers.
